Harold Mabern's 'AON'

Here is a chart for another Mabern tune called ‘AON.’ Mabern did not teach me this one, but as I was listening to Lee Morgan’s ‘Live at the Lighthouse’ record and I heard those chromatically descending chords, I knew Mabern was the composer. He always talked about those descending chords as ‘Chicago Style.’ The original version of this has Bill Lee (Spike Lee’s father) on bass — someone Mabern often cited as a harmonic genius relating to the Chicago scene.

A friendly youtube commentator informed me that ‘AON’ stands for ‘As of Now.’
